Truck driver killed in Faridpur road crash

A truck driver was killed and three others were injured in a head-on collision between two trucks at Pukuria on the Dhaka-Barisal highway in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur district on Friday. Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Assistant superintendent of police Belal Hosain of the highway police said the accident took place in the area when a truck collided head-on with another truck coming from the opposite direction around 8:15am, leaving a truck driver dead on the spot and three others injured. The injured were rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital, according to a newsagency.
