Trump and his controversies
Monday, 17 September 2018
Recently, a US government official, who is also part of the administration of President Donald Trump, wrote an opinion piece in the New York Times. In the piece, he disclosed under a pen name, some of the problems in the Trump administration. In the article, the official also stated that he is a part of "a quiet resistance within the administration of people choosing to put country first".
From the opinion piece, it is clear that Donald Trump is an aggressive businessman-cum-politician who assumed his position after winning a controversial election. He has limited knowledge of US foreign policy and the rest of the world. He is a president who cannot trust anyone as a friend and can become bitter enemies with someone in less than minutes after meeting the person for the first time.
He is very erratic. Trump has been taking one wrong decision after another since he had been elected nearly two years back. He imposed restrictions on entry to USA for the Muslims from six countries, cancelled Obama Healthcare service, planned to make a wall between America and Mexico border, withdrew from climate change fund of Paris Protocol and withdrew US support from the six nations nuclear agreement with Iran. Under his leadership, the US also withdrew its membership from the UNESCO and the UN Human Rights Council, created trade disputes with China, Turkey, Canada, European Union and lastly threatened to leave the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
It seems that his next plan is to have a war with Iran thanks to the Israel-Saudi lobby. Most of his Twitter comments seem raw and controversial. Trump's activities are making people across the world question whether the USA is their friend or not.
