Trust Bank disburses agri loan at Natore

NATORE, May 3: Trust Bank has started financing in core agriculture sectors like fisheries, livestock, poultry and others since 2008 considering its contribution to economic growth. The bank, in line with the directives of Bangladesh Bank has recently initiated the crop loan to the farmers through its own network. In connection to the policy a spot disbursement loan programme was held at Moukhra Bazarunder Baraigram Upazila of Natore district. General Manager, Bangladesh Bank SM Moniruzzaman as the Chief Guest, MM Haikal Hashmi, Deputy Managing Director of Trust Bank as Special Guest were present in the programme while TIM Rawshan Zadeed, Head of SME presided over the same. Among others Tanvir Hossain, VP & Cluster Manager, Mohboob Hossain, VP & Manager, Rajshahi Branch, Anwar Hossain Mollah, Manager of Bogra Cantt. Branch, Mahmud Siddique, Manager, Natore SMEKrishi Branch and other officials were present in the programme. It is worthwhile to mention that total loans of about Tk 7 million among 106 farmers were disbursed for turmeric cultivation on area approach basis. Moreover, a loan of Tk 6.6 million for bio-gas projects was also disbursed in addition to spot disbursement to 5 entrepreneurs. The branch also disburse SME loan to the potential entrepreneurs.
