TSC now under cost free WiFi network

The Teacher-Student Center (TSC) of the Dhaka University has been brought under WiFi network to facilitate the students with free of cost internet service.
State minister for the ICT Division of the newly formed Posts and Telecommunication and Information Technology Ministry Junaid Ahmed Palak and Vice-chancellor of the Dhaka University (DU) AAMS Arefin Siddique jointly inaugurated the internet service Tuesday.
As a result the whole TSC area got connected with the high-speed internet service in association with the telecom infrastructure company Fiber@Home. The company has offered the opportunity for the DU students as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Earlier, the TSC along with the university dormitories had limited WiFi internet facility.
Addressing in the event, State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak said the young people should aware about using information technology. He urged the university students working for the country by using the tools of the information technology.
Chairman of the Television and Film Department of the university Prof Dr AJM Shafiullah, Managing Director (MD) of Fiber @ home limited Moinul Huq Siddiqui and Dhaka University IT Society Abdullah Al Imran were present on the occasion.
