Tuba garment: A lesson needs to be learned
Sunday, 10 August 2014
The police crackdown on the peaceful workers of the Tuba Garment factory was unfortunate. The government and the BGMEA failed to handle the matter properly. In the beginning they did not pay attention to the grievance of the workers. The workers should also remember that by vandalising and creating anarchy they will not only damage the national economy but also the business which gives them and their families their bread and butter. We should not politicise such sensitive issues.
