Tuba workers to get 2-month\\\'s salary Wednesday

The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has announced that it will pay Tuba Group workers two months’ wages on Wednesday. After a meeting of the association’s top functionaries on Sunday afternoon, BGMEA acting President AM Mannan Kochi announced the payment at a press conference in the city. ‘Starting from 10:00am on Wednesday two months’ salary will be given to the workers of Tuba Group at BGMEA building in Karwanbazar, the headquarters of the garment business owners’ the apex body. The rest (salaries) will be paid by the owner of Tuba Group within August 10,’ Kochi said. He also appealed to the agitating Tuba workers to withdraw their hunger strike, according to bdnews24.com.
