Tumpa shoots air pistol record

Despite setting a new record in the qualifying round, Sinthia Naznin Tumpa finished second in the 10m air pistol on the third day of the 23rd IFIC Bank National Shooting Championship at the BKSP in Savar Saturday.
Tumpa of Dhaka Rifles Club shot a record 373 out of 400 in the qualifying round, but she went down in the shoot off scoring 92.1 to finish 465.1, just .1 less than Naryanganj Rifles Club's Armin Asha, who scored 465.2 to bag gold.
Asha's team-mate Shahida Khatun finished third scoring 460.1 points.
Sabrina Sultana of Dhaka Rifles Club bagged gold medal in the 50m Rifle Three Position scoring 553 points while Tripti Datta of BKSP scored seven points less than Sabrina to finish second with 546 points.
Suraiya Akhter of Narayaganj Rifles Club finished 545.
