TV channels urged to help flourish national culture fully

Cultural Affairs Adviser Rasheda K Choudhury Saturday urged TV channels to help national culture flourish fully to resist the aggression of satellite culture, reports BSS.
"Present national culture before the new generation and provide opportunities to groom the disadvantaged but talented people in television," Rasheda told the first annual conference of Television Programme Producers Association of Bangladesh at a city hotel.
Chaired by President of the Association Mamunur Rashid, the function was also addressed by Information Secretary Jamil Osman, Chairman of ATN Bangla Mahfuzur Rahman and General Secretary of the Association Tarique Anam Khan, among others, an official handout said.
