A Dhaka court placed on Friday two 'members of banned Islamist outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team' on an eight-day remand each in connection with blogger Niladri Chaterjee alias Niloy murder, reports UNB.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Judge Molla Saiful Islam passed the order when Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, inspector of detective branch of police, produced Sad Al Nahian and Masud Rana before the court seeking a 10-day remand.
Earlier, plainclothes arrested the duo on Thursday from different areas in the city in connection with the murder.
On August 7, Niloy was hacked to death inside his fourth-floor flat at North Gorhan in the city. He was the fourth Bangladeshi blogger killed so far this year.
