Two associates of Dakat Shahid arrested in city

The Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested two associates of notorious criminal Dacoit Shahid from the city's Wari area Friday and recovered two foreign arms and five bullets from them, reports BSS.
A team of the DB, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Moshiur Rahman and Assistant Commissioner (AC) AKM Mahbubur Rahman, acting on a secret information, raided an under construction multi-storied building on Wari Tipu Sultan Road and Swamibagh Munshirtak area at about 11pm last night and arrested Md Faruk alias Bhagina Fruk and Al Amin alias Sunny.
They also recovered two foreign pistols, two magazines and five bullets from the residence of the mother of Faruk at Swamibagh Munshirtak.
According to the DB officials, the arrested persons were involved in killing, extortion, hijacking in favour of Dacoit Shahid in Sutrapur, Jatrabari and Wari areas for long.
