Two BAF aircraft collide midair, crash in Cox's Bazar

Two training aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) crashed in Maheshkhali upazila of Cox's Bazar on Wednesday evening following a midair collision, reports UNB.
Assistant Director of Inter Service Public Relations Rezaul Karim said two Yak-130 type BAF training aircraft collided in midair around 6:30 pm.
"The two aircraft slammed on the ground following the collision," he said.
Rezaul also said two pilots and as many copilots of the two aircraft managed to come down safely pulling up their parachutes.
Quoting locals, the inspector (Investigation) of Maheshkhali Police Station said the two burning aircraft fell on the ground - one at Putivilla village and another at Jaliapara village.
