Two bank security guards killed as they resist robbers

SATKHIRA, July 15: Two Sonali Bank security guards of Kalaroa branch under Kalaroa upazila were chopped to death by miscreants Tuesday night. The deceased were identified as Jahangir (32), son of Kaiyum Hossain of Jhapaghat village in Kalaroa upazila, and Asad (25), son of Anarul Islam, a resident of Harispur village under Satkhira Sadar upazila. DGM of Sonali Bank Sahidul Islam said the guards were killed, when they were trying to resist the miscreants who were trying to commit robbery. Officer-in-Charge of Kolaroa Thana Abu Saleh Masud Karim confirmed the incident. — BSS
