Two children, two women rescued

BAGERHAT, July 21 (UNB): Coastguard members rescued two child labourers from fishermen village of Dublarchar near the Bay Thursday morning.
The two rescued children were identified as Monir Hossain (12) and Shahidul Islam (13), hailed from Zianagar Upazila of Pirojpur district.
Coastguard sources said they rescued the two children while patrolling the area. They were working under one fisherman Jahangir.
The two children were handed over to their family members through Mongla thana police Friday afternoon.
Another report from Benapole adds: BDR jawans rescued two women while being smuggled out to India through Tangrali border Wednesday.
BDR sources said they rescued Amita Begum (18), wife of Mukul Sardar of Salampur village and Anisa Begum (17), wife of Abdur Rahim of Madanpur village when they were being smuggled out to India but could not arrest the traffickers as they fled the scene sensing their presence.
The human traffickers were dispatching them to India promising them good jobs there, the sources said.
