Two children violated in city

A child was raped by a man who was allegedly being helped by the victim's mother, police have said.
The eight-year-old was violated at her own house at Moghbazar T&T Colony, said her father who filed a case with Hatirjheel Police Station on Tuesday night, reports bdnews24.com.
Police said the victim's father works as a driver and is away from his house most of time.
"Many people, mostly men, used to visit his house in his absence, to meet his wife," said Hatirjheel Police Sub-inspector Rajib Hossain.
"Among these men, a man named Mintu violated his daughter about three months ago. The case accuses the mother of helping the man rape her daughter."
Police arrested Mintu soon after receiving the compliant but the mother is on the run.
"Any incident of child rape is highly sensitive, so we took prompt measures to arrest the suspect. Police are investigating the incident," said SI Rajib.
Meanwhile, another case of child rape was filed with Rupnagar Police Station. The girl from Bhola arrived in Dhaka on Feb 06 to make a living in the city.
She was staying at his cousin's house who works as a domestic help in Dhaka's Rupnagar area, said Rupnagar Police OC Sheikh Shah Alam.
Four days later, a woman named Sathi took her to a house to get her a job as a domestic worker, according to the case filed by the victim's cousin.
