Two coaches for football due in city today

Monday, 7 January 2013

Two Dutch coaches, chosen by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), for the National football team and Sylhet Football Academy, will arrive in Dhaka Monday, reports UNB. Former Dutch professional player-turned-coach Lodewijk de Kruif will be the head coach of the national team while his assistant, René Koster, will take charge of BFF Football Academy in Sylhet. Earlier, the two professional coaches were approached for the job of the head coach of Bangladesh national football team and for the position of the head of Sylhet Football Academy, as stated by a Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) official earlier. On December 29, BFF President Kazi Salahuddin had fruitful discussions with the two coaches in London when they agreed to come to Dhaka and watch two Bangladesh Premier League matches on January 9 and 11. After that the two coaches will sit for a meeting with BFF officials to decide on the terms and conditions and will present their strategy for Bangladesh football. Fortythree-year-old De Kruif played for FC OSS, a second division club of the Dutch League in 1993-94 season. De Kruif's coaching profile is marked by two Nigerian domestic Federation Cup titles for Heartland Club before his contract was terminated earlier this year.
