Two commit suicide in Magura

MAGURA, Oct 02 (UNB): Two, including a teenage boy, reportedly committed suicide in Muhammadpur and Sadar upazilas on Monday night.
The deceased were identified as Mistaul Islam, 14, son of Manik Ali of Belnagar village in Sadar upazila and Kamrul Islam, 50, son of Habibur Rahman of Jashpur village in Muhammadpur upazila.
Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Magura Police station, said Mistaul, a student of Class-IX of Magura Government Boys High School, took his life by hanging himself at his house.
Earlier, the victim was blamed for stealing a mobile phone of one his classmates, said the OC adding that primarily, they anticipated that Mistaul might have committed suicide as he could not tolerate theft allegation.
Police recovered his body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy.
A case of unnatural death was filed with the police station, said the OC.
In another incident, Kamrul committed suicide by taking poison on Monday night after returning home from the capital three days ago, said Rabiul Islam, officer-in-charge of Muhammadpur Police Station.
