Share prices of two listed companies-- Chittagong Vegetables and Pharma Aid have been rising abnormally again despite having no price sensitive information. According to the market data, in the last one month price of both Pharma Aid and Chittagong Vegetables share more than doubled in the trading of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). Although overall market witnessed severe ups and down in the last one month of trading. In the recent bullish trend of the market which lasted up to December month of last year , Pharma Aid and Chittagong Vegetables share price were at the centre of discussion as the two scrips abnormally rose despite having no strong financial footing. By analyzing the data, each share price of Pharma Aid was Tk 1454 just one month ago, which stood at Tk 3131.75 in the last trading session. Whereas just one month ago each share price of Chittagong Vegetables were1859.25, in the last trading day each share price stood at Tk 3875.25 Market insiders said, small paid up capital of the two companies' gives opportunity to a certain quarter to manipulate with the price movements of the two particular companies.
