Two-day confce held at BUET

Two-day long 3rd International Conference on Chemical Engineering, organised by the Chemical Engineering Department of BUET was held recently at Council Bhaban of the university, said a BUET press release.
Prof Dr A K Azad Chowdhury, Chairman, University Grants Commission attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest while Prof Dr M Habibur Rahman, Pro VC of BUET was present as the guest of honour.
Prof Dr Dil Afroza Begum, Head, Chemical Engineering Department, BUET presided over the ceremony and gave the vote of thanks. Prof Dr A K M A Quader, Chairman of ICChE 2011 welcomed the guests.
The plenary lecture was given by Prof Dr Sam Mannan, Director of Mary Kay O'Connor, Process Safety Centre of Texas A & M University on "Society's Choices and the Relationship to Risk".
