Two-day workshop on Islamic capital market, sukuk begins on Aug 31

A two-day international workshop on Islamic capital market and sukuk will begin on August 31 at Hotel Sarina of Banani in the city, says a statement issued by the organisers.
The event is being co-organised by the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) and the Academy of Business Professionals (ABP).
The INCEIF was set up by the Bank Negara Malaysia, the central bank of Malaysia, in 2005 with the mandate to develop human capital for the global Islamic finance industry. On the other hand, the ABP is a business management qualification provider based in Bangladesh.
Two high-profile trainers will conduct the workshop. They are Associate Professor Dr Mohamed Eskandar Shah Mohd Rasid and Assistant Professor Dr Ziyaad Mahomed.
Dr Eskandar is Associate Dean of the School of Graduate & Professional Studies at INCEIF. Dr Ziyaad is Chairman of the Shariah Committee at the HSBC Amanah Malaysia and Director of Executive Education at the INCEIF. Senior professionals from different organisations will attend the event.
