Two dengue, two Covid patients die in 24 hrs

Two more people died of dengue and two others died of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours until Wednesday morning, reports UNB.
With the dengue deaths, this year's death toll from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh stood at 63.
During this period, 344 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever as cases keep rising, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest deaths were reported from Dhaka division raising the death toll in the division to 32.
The dengue death toll in Chattogram division remains unchanged at 26 and in Barishal division at five.
Of the new patients, 270were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 74 outside it.
A total of 2,156 dengue patients, including 1,601 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
This year, the directorate has recorded 18,646 dengue cases and 16,427 recoveries so far.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh reported two more Covid-linked deaths with 549 fresh cases during the same period
The country's total fatalities rose to 29,374 with the new deaths. The new cases raised the country's total caseload to 2,028,114, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily case test positivity rate rose to 13.86 per cent from Tuesday's 13.80 per cent as 3,961 samples were tested.
The latest deceased were men from Dhaka and Khulna divisions.
