Two die as car hits road divider in Gazipur

Two people were killed when a private car overturned after colliding with a road divider on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Gazipur, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Abu Taher, 45, hailing from Noakhali's Sonaimuri upazila, and Ibrahim, 36, from Laxmipur Sadar upazila.
Confirming the matter, Shahadat Hossain, officer-in-charge of Naojor Highway Police Station, said a Dhaka-bound private car collided with the road divider when it reached Palli Bidyut area of Kaliakair upazila around 4am on Sunday.
"Two people in the car died on the spot. On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy," said OC Shahadat.
