Two die from snack bite in Rajshahi

Two old men reportedly died from snake bites in different incidents in Poba and Charghat upazila of Rajshahi district on Sunday. The deceased were identified as snake charmer Munjed Ali, 70, son Aroj Ullah, a resident of Holidagashi Moddapara village in Charghat upazila and Mofij Uddin, 50, son of late  Sukur Molla, a resident of Naohata area of Poba upazila. In Charghat, Munjed Ali, a local snake charmer went to Shahabul’s house at Holdigasha Ashrayan Project area to catch a cobra. Incidentally, the cobra bit him. Later, Munjed felt sick and locals rushed him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) where doctors declared him dead. In Paba, Mofij Uddin was bitten by a snack while working at a paddy field. Locals rushed him to RMCH where succumbed to his injuries later, according to a news agency.
