Two die in separate incidents in Khulna

KHULNA, Aug 21: Two unnatural deaths took place in separate incidents in Dacop Upazila of the district Wednesday.
One of the deceased was identified as Krishna Pada Das (35), son of Dataram sarder of village Ramnagor Thakurbari and Subodh Roy (40) of Dacop Upazila. He was a peon of Dacop Upazila election office.
Police and local sources said that Krishna Pada was planting Aman paddy in his own nearby land. As the sky drizzling at about 8 am, a thunderbolt hit him, leaving him dead on the spot.  
In another incident, Subodh Roy committed suicide at Upazila Health Complex on Wednesday night. Earlier, he was admitted to hospital as he was suffering from disease. Two UD cases were filed in this connection with Dacop thana.
8 youths arrested
Another message from Our Correspondent adds: BGB members arrested 8 young men from Putkhali border area while they were entering into Bangladesh from India Wednesday.
Putkhali Camp Commander Subeder Alauddin said that on information, BGB men conducted a drive at Putkhali Charerhat area and arrested them. The arrestees hailed different thanas of Barisal, Noakhali and Madaripur districts. BGB also said that the young men went to India for searching better job.
A case was lodged against them under passport act with Benapole port thana.
