Two more deaths were reported from dengue in 24 hours until Monday morning, raising the fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 36 this year, reports UNB.
During the period, 323 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new patients, 260 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest outside it.
Some 1158 patients, including 914 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 5, 231 dengue cases, 4,037 recoveries this year.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh reported 153 more Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours until Monday morning.
With the new numbers, the country's total caseload rose to 2,041,623, according to the DGHS.
However, the official death toll from the disease remained unchanged at 29,457 as no new fatalities were reported.
The daily case test positivity increased to 92.29 per cent from Sunday's 7.75 per cent as 1647 samples were tested.
The recovery rate stands at 98.33 per cent. However, the death rate remained unchanged at 1.44 per cent.
