Two drug peddlers arrested with 1,500 bottles of phensidyl

SATKHIRA, Aug 18 (UNB): The police arrested two drug peddlers along with 1,500 bottles of phensidyl syrup at Manikhar village in Patkelghata thana Thursday morning.
Police arrested Golam Bari, of Satani village in Sadar upazila and Mamun Khan, of Arappur area of Jesssore when they were loading the bottles of phensidyl on a pickup van.
A case was filed against eight people in this connection.
Another report from Netrakona adds: DB police arrested two people along with 3kgs of Indian hemp from a bus at Chowrasta area under Purbadhala Upazila Wednesday.
Acting on a secret information the DB police raided the Birishiri bound bus at the point on Netrakona-Purbadhala road and arrested Jamal of Dhaka Shyampur area and Abul Kalam of Brahmanbaria along with the hemp.
