Two drug peddlers jailed

A mobile court of Joypurhat Friday convicted two peddlers and sentenced them to different terms of Rigorous Imprisonment (RI). Acting on information, a team of police raided the house of Habibur Rahman (48), son of Kuddus Dewan of Noupara village, arrested him along with 2.8 kgs of hemp. In another drive the same team raided Joypurhat bus stand area and arrested Anil Kislu (51), son of late Maba Kislu of Kakra Bari village of Dinajpur district along with 15 bottles of phensidyl. Later, the mobile court sentenced Anil Kislu to two years and Habibur Rahman to one year RI. - UNB
