Two electrocuted in districts

KHULNA, Jul 29: An old man was electrocuted near Hazibari Jam-e-Mosque under Kachua upazlia of Bagerhat district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Amir Ali Sheikh (60) son of late Karim Uddin Sheikh of village Kachua of Kachua upazila of the district.
Officer in-charge of Kachua thana Gopal Gonesh Biswas said that Amir Ali was going to Hazibari Mosque for Johor namaj. When he reached near the mosque he saw an electric live wire and tried to remove it with his hand.
Local people rushed him to Kachua Upazila Health Complex where the doctor declared him dead.
A UNB report says: construction worker died of electrocution at Jaleshwar Moholla in Savar upazila headquarters on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Barek, son of Abdul Latif of Barguna district.
Witnesses said Abdul Barek came in contact with a live electric wire while working in an under-construction building of one Idris Ali of the area around 5.00pm.
He died on the spot. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
