Two falling from train roof die in Pabna

PABNA, Nov 6: At least two train roof passengers died on being hit by rail bridge girder of Koidanga bridge in Bhangura Upazila of Pabna early Wednesday. General Railway Police (GRP) recovered the bodies from Ishwardi rail station Wednesday morning.
Of the victims Lavlu Sheikh, 22, of village Parchalna village in Dakop Upazila in Khulna was identified while the police could not confirm the identity of the other victim aged around 30.
Officer-in-charge of Ishwardi GRP station Md. Humayun Kabir said the victims along with others were going to Khulna from Dhaka riding on the roof of Khulna-bound intercity train 'Chitra Express'.
When the train was crossing Koidanaga rail bridge in Bhangura Upazila at about 9.30am they were hit by overhead girder of the bridge, the GRP OC said.
