Two former BNP lawmakers sued in two dists

Two former BNP lawmakers were sued in Comilla and Bagerhat Tuesday, reports UNB.
In Comilla, a case was filed against five people, including former BNP lawmaker Monirul Haque Chowdhury, with a court Tuesday.
Abul Khair of Barahipur village of Sadar South Upazila, filed the case with No. 1 cognisance court for land grabbing and misappropriation of government money amounting to Tk 50,000 in the name of earth digging of a college.
Another report from Bagerhat adds: One more case was filed against former BNP lawmaker MAH Selim with Sadar police station.
Sher Ali Fakir, a grocer of Khan Jahan Ali Mazar, filed the case Tuesday morning, alleging that men of Selim demanded Tk 0.10 million as toll from him on March 1, 2005. Later, he had to pay half of the money.
In his complaint, Fakir also said that Selim's men damaged his shop on April 3 the same year as he failed to give the rest the money.
