Two Ghanaian booters -- familiar defender Samad Yousuf and new face Fuard Ali -- arrived in the capital Wednesday afternoon to play for the defending B League champions Dhaka Abahani Limited, report UNB.
The season's curtain raiser soccer meet -- the 16-team Federation Cup Football Tournament -- will kick-off in Dhaka on September 10.
Another well-known Ghanaian striker Awudu Ibrahim and 2nd highest scorer of the 2nd B League medio Christian Emeka are expected to join Abahani next week.
Reliable defender Samad Yousuf played a key role on way to the second successive B League crown for the sky-blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani last year while striker Fuard Ali will be a new face in local football, chosen by Abahani's familiar striker Awudu Ibrahim.
Abahani Limited is now running a residential training camp at BKSP in Savar with 21 local booters under the supervision of veteran local coach Amalesh Sen and Argentine trainer Diego Alvaro Cuadrado.
