Two held with 590 pieces of Yaba tablet in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, July 2 (BSS): Chittagong Metropolitan Police in a drive arrested two men, including a fake journalist, with 590 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from the Karnaphuli Bridge area in the port city today.
They were identified as Abdus Sabur alias Aman, 31, and his accomplice Mohammad Kabir Hossain, 27.
On a tip-off, a team of police raided a Dhaka-bound passenger bus of Hanif Transport Service coming from Cox's Bazar in the Karnaphuli Bridge area at around 4.30am and arrested them with the tablets, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bakalia police station Mohammad Mohsin, said.
"Sabur, during the drive, introduced himself as the Teknaf Correspondent of a local online news portal- Cox'sbazarkhobor24.com", the OC said, adding the arrested had been engaged in Yaba trading using the fake identity as a reporter.
A case was filed in this connection.
