Two Indian coastguard ships in Ctg port

CHITTAGONG, Apr 26: Two Indian Coastguard ships Vajra and Raziya Sultana with modern armament and equipment are on a five-day goodwill visit to the Chittagong Port. The coastguard ships with 25 officers and 155 crews arrived at the port's New Mooring Container Terminal (NCT) on April 24 and will stay there until April 28, 2011. The Assistant High Commission of India in Chittagong today arranged visit of the local journalists from print and electronic media aboard the two ships where the ICGS officers briefed the media about the duties, important operations, exercises and achievements of the Indian Coastguard. During the visit the Indian Coastguard officers are scheduled to have meetings with the senior military and civil officials of Bangladesh and participate in the joint naval exercise with the Bangladesh Coastguard.
