Two injured in Japan hospital shooting

WARABI, Oct 31 (BBC): Two people have been injured in a shooting at a hospital in the central Japanese city of Toda, local media report. The suspect, believed to be in the age range of 50 to 70, fled on a motorcycle and is currently at large.
Meanwhile, local media report that two hostages have been taken inside a post office in neighbouring Warabi. It is as yet unclear if the two incidents are connected.
However Japanese media, citing unnamed police sources, are reporting that the hostage taker in the post office is also the suspect from the hospital shooting. Footage has been aired of a man carrying a gun and standing at the entrance of a post office near the Toda Chuo General Hospital where the two people were shot.
The two injured people have been identified as a doctor and an elderly patient. The hostages are two women in their 20s and 30s, reports say. The post office mentioned by Warabi authorities is about 2.5 km (1.5 mi) from the Toda Chuo General Hospital.
