Two Jama'at leaders held in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Jan 13 (UNB): Police arrested two Jama'at-e-Islami leaders, including its district unit nayeb-e-ameer, from Doshmoni area in the town on Friday morning.
Abu Jihad Khan, officer-in-charge (OC) (Inquiry) of Sadar Model thana, said they arrested district Jama'at nayebe ameer Moulana Rezaul Karim and another of its leader Al Amin from the area at about 8:00am.
Tipped off that the Jama'at men were planning to carry out subversive acts in the district to destabilise law and order situation, the police raided the area and arrested the two, the OC said.
He said the two leaders would be produced before court after preliminary interrogation in the police station.
