Two killed as bikes catch fire after collision

RAJSHAHI, Oct 8 (UNB): Two riders were killed as their motorcycles caught fire following a collision on Sipaitara road in the city on Tuesday night.
The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.
Senior station officer at Rajshahi Fire Service Shariful Islam said the two motorbikes collided head-on in front of Nakkati Kali Mandir around 11:45pm.
Soon after the collision, the motorbikes burst into flames, leaving three riders injured.
On information, firefighters rushed in, doused the fire and took the injured to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where two of them succumbed to their injuries.
Officer-in-charge of Boalia Police Station Abdus Sobhan confirmed the accident.
