Two killed as covered van rams into two vehicles in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Nov 14 (UNB): Two people were killed and at least four others injured as a covered van crashed into a stationary mini truck and an auto-rickshaw in the Sufia Road area of Mirsarai upazila in Chattogram on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as truck driver Iqbal Hossain, 45, and Mohammad Farid, 42.
Sohel Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Jorarganj Highway Police Station, said the speeding covered van rammed into the two vehicles parked on roadside in the Sufia Road area in the morning, leaving two people dead on the spot.
He said that the driver of the covered van has been arrested.
The bodies of the deceased are currently at the Upazila Health Complex, he added.
