Two killed in hotel fire at Bangshal

Two persons died in a fire at a residential hotel at Bangshal in the city in the early hours of Friday.  The dead were identified as Saijuddin (35) and Sultan Mian (55). They were boarders of 'Bangladesh Muslim Abashik Hotel' at 148 Siddiqbazar, where the fire broke out.  Fire Service and Civil Defence sources said the fire fighters had reached the spot at 3: 38am and dowsed the blaze completely by 6:54 am. The fire damaged assets worth about Tk 300,000 (3 lakh), they added.  Bangshal police station duty officer said the bodies of the hotel boarders had been sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital for autopsy.— BSS
