Two killed in Rangpur road accident

RANGPUR, Mar 14 (BSS): Two passengers of a rickshaw-van including an elderly woman were killed in a road accident at Nazirerhat point on the Rangpur-Badarganj road under Sadar upazila Wednesday, police sources said.
The victims were identified as Milan Mian, 35, son of late Abdus Salam of village Baluabhata under Badarganj upazila and Elijah Khatun, 70, wife of Abdul Bari of village Uttar Mominpur under Sadar upazila in the district.
The accident took place when a Rangpur-bound trolley carrying bricks from Badarganj area hit the rickshaw-van at 1:30 pm leaving two passengers dead on the spot.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
They seized the trolley, though its driver managed to escape the scene.
