Two killed in road accident

TANGAIL, Aug 3 (BSS): Two persons were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Pakutia on the Mymensingh- Tangail Road Friday morning, police said.
The sources said the accident occurred when a Gaibandha- bound pineapple-laden truck from Madhupur overturned and fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering.
Pineapple traders of Madhupur of Tangail Azizul Huq and Mritarang Marma died on the spot. The injured were admitted to local upazila health complex.
The driver of the truck fled the scene. A case was filed with Ghatail police in this connection.
