Two killed, three hurt in Sylhet road mishap

SYLHET, July 27 (UNB): Two people were killed and three others injured as a bus rammed into an auto-rickshaw at Otir Bari in South Surma Upazila on the Sylhet-Dhaka highway Saturday.
The dead were identified as Amir Ali (30) and Moyna Devnath (45).
Local people said the speeding bus hit the Sylhet bound auto-rickshaw from behind, killing the two auto-rickshaw passengers on the spot at about 10:00 am.
Auto-rickshaw driver Rashid Miah (35), Amir Ali's wife Mukta Begum (22) and mother-in-law Ambia Begum (45) were injured. They were rushed to the Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
The bus driver managed to flee the scene. A case was filed in this connection.
