Two lynched in Noakhali

Unruly people beat to death two people in Jagdananda village in Kabirhat Upazila of Noakhali on Saturday. Of the deceased, one was identified as AK Azad, 32, son of Abdur Rob of the village, while identity of the other could not be known immediately. Some local people said that they were ‘robbers’, a claim that many other people contradicted. Witnesses said, a group of villagers caught Azad and another man, claiming that they were fleeing after committing robbery at a house in the village. At one stage, the rowdy people beat them mercilessly, leaving them dead on the spot, according to a news agency.
