Two lynched in Savar

SAVAR, Apr 18: Two suspected robbers were killed in a lynch-mob attack in Bhakurta village under Savar on the outskirts of the capital, early on Saturday. The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Anwarul, sub-inspector of Savar Police Station, said a gang of robbers, numbering 10-12 swooped on the house of one Sunil around 3 am and looted valuables. Hearing screams for help, local people rushed in and caught two robbers, who were then lynched. Police recovered the bodies.    — UNB
