Two men beheaded in Naogaon, Habiganj

NAOGAON, Dec 18 (UNB): Two men were slaughtered in Naogaon and Habiganj Saturday as the nation is seriously concerned at the spate of secret killings at different places of the country.
Naogaon police recovered at 2 pm body of young man from under a bridge in Raipur village of Manda upazila His throat was cut. Farmers working in the field found the body of the young man aged about 30. On information, police collected the body and sent to hospital for autopsy. None could identify the victim till late in the evening.
The victim was wearing jeans pant, full sleeve check shirt and half sweater. The body also bore several marks of injuries, police said.
It is suspected that unknown assailants picked up the young man from somewhere, cut his throat and left the body under the bridge.
In Habiganj, police recovered slaughtered body of an expatriate worker from the field near Premdamoyee Girls High School in Madhabpur municipal area on Saturday morning. An identity card found in his pocket suggested that he was worker of a construction company in Singapore.
The victim was identified as Mahfuz Mia, 45, son of Rashid Mia of Amtala village in Nabinagar upazila under Brahmanbaria district.
