Two men commit suicide in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Jan 20: The police recovered two bodies including that of a bank officer from the city area on Monday. Both of them are suspected to have committed suicide.
Police said, the body of Md Hirok (28) was recovered from Lalkhan Bazar area under Khulsi police station at around 9.30 pm. He killed himself by hanging from the ceiling of his residence at Baghghona area under Khulsi on Sunday night.
Hirok, son of late Nurul Azim, was a contractual officer of the IFIC Bank in the city. The cause of his committing suicide could not be confirmed till this evening.
Meanwhile Rahul Chowdhury, a student of class X, committed suicide by jumping on the Karnaphuli River from Kalurghat Railway Bridge last night. Chittagong EPZ police recovered the body from the river near CEPZ area.
Rahul is the second son of Ashok Chowdhury, an officer in the Chittagong WASA and was residing at Bakolia DC Road area in the Sunrise KG & High School building. His village home is at Saroatoli of Boalkhali police station. Two UD cases have been filed with the respective police.
