Two men killed in Ctg road crash

CHATTOGRAM, Mar 24 (UNB): Two people were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Chattogram's Mirsharai on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Abdur Rahim, 47, driver of a covered van, and Masum Billah, 42, owner of a cargo truck.
The crash occurred on Sunday morning in Nizampur Ridwan Filling Station area on Chattogram-bound Lane.
Eyewitnesses said that the driver and owner of the covered van were killed on the spot when a speeding mini-covered van hit the back of a cargo truck in the morning.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, said Md Alamgir Hossain, sub-inspector of Kumira Highway Police Station.
The families of the victims have been informed.
The crash might have occurred due to the driver's drowsiness, added the SI.
