Two minor boys drown in Rangpur pond

RANGPUR, Oct 02 (BSS): Two minor boys died after drowning in a pond at Madhyapara village under Gopalpur union of Badarganj upazila here on Saturday afternoon.
"The children were identified as Moniruzzaman Babu, 6, son of Mustafizur Rahman, and Vijay Babu, 4, son of Anarul Haque of the same village," OC of Badarganj police station Md. Habibur Rahman said on Sunday.
Beyond the knowledge of their parents, the boys went to bath in the pond next to their houses when they drowned in water.
"After some time, local villagers recovered the bodies of the victims from the pond," the OC said.
