Two murder cases filed against Sheikh Hasina

Two murder cases have been filed against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina in Savar and Gazipur, report agencies.
In Savar Murder case has been filed against Hasina and 126 others in the killing of Abdul Ahad Shaikat, a student of Dhaka Commerce College.
Nazrul Islam, father of the victim filed the case at Savar Model Police Station, Officer-in-Charge Atiqur Rahman confirmed the matter on Friday.
The others in the case include former road transport and bridge minister Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan, former Information state minister Mohammad A Arafat, and former disaster management and relief state minister Enamur Rahman among those accused.
According to the case details, these individuals, along with others, ordered Chhatra League, Jubo league, and Awami League members to carry out the attack.
The victim's father mentioned in the case that his son was murdered in connection with the anti-discrimination student movement.
On August 5, Shaika participated in a protest against systemic inequities. According to the complaint, he was brutally beaten and shot at Mukti Road in Savar. He was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
An investigation is underway over the matter, the OC added.
In Gazipur Hasina was accused in a murder case over the death of a youth in Gazipur during the protests led by the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.
In addition to Hasina, former ministers AKM Mozammel Haque and Zahid Ahsan Russel, Gazipur Metropolitan Awami League President Azmat Ullah Khan and former mayor Mohammad Zahangir Alam have been accused in the case.
A month after the death of Md Arif Bepari, 28, his father, Md Rajjab Ali filed the case in Gazipur's Gacha Police Station on Wednesday.
As many as 115 named individuals and 350 unknown persons have been named as defendants in the case, according to the chief of Gacha Police, Md Ziaul Islam.
The deceased used to live with his family in a rented house owned by Haji Saiful in Kamaleshwar area near Gacha Police Station.
According to the case dossier, Arif was shot dead in Gazipur on Jul 20 during the anti-government protests.
In addition to Hasina, at least 115 local and central leaders and activists of the Awami League have been accused in the murder case.
