Two outlaws killed in shootout with RAB

PABNA, Sept 10 (UNB): Two outlaws were killed in a shootout between their cohorts and Rapid Action Battalion members at Choradanga village in Sadar Upazila early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Wahab (35), regional leader of banned Purba Banglar Communist Party (Janajuddha-ML), and its local leader Abdul Matin (38).
They were wanted in a number of murder and other criminal cases, RAB sources said.
On secret information, RAB raided Choradanga Primary School premises where a number of outlaws assembled to hold a secret meeting at about 5.15 am.
Sensing their presence, the outlaws opened fire on the elite forces leaving three of them injured. The elite force fired back leaving Abdul Wahab and Matin dead on the spot, while the others managed to flee.
The injured RAB members are SI Sultan, soldier Humayun Kabir and constable Reza.
