Two pirates killed in gunfight with law enforcers

BARGUNA, July 9 (UNB): Two pirates were killed in a gunfight with a joint team of law enforcers in Baleshwar river at Gyanpara Batikata in Patharghata Upazila Friday.
The deceased were identified as Afzal Hossain, son of Abdul Majid of Lathimara village and Faruque Sarder of Padma village in same upazila.
Upazila Coastguard Camp Commander Lieutenant Musfique said that a gang of 17/20 pirates were travelling on a trawler in the river.
