Two players share lead in Sheikh Moni chess

GM Ziaur Rahman and FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Emon of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited took joint lead in the points table with 6.5 points after the 7th round games of the Shaheed Sheikh Moni Memorial International Rating Chess Tournament at the NSC (National Sports Council) Tower Auditorium Lounge in the city, reports BSS.
FM Mehdi Hasan Parag of Leonine Chess Club, FM Debaraj Chatterjee of Titas and Lama Himel of Nepal are sharing 2nd position with 6 points.
IM Abu Sufian Shakil of Dhaka Mohammedan, Tamal Chakrabarty of India, FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Titas Club, Ejaz Hussain of ChessQ and M Jamal Uddin of Pritam-Prism Chess are sharing 3rd position with 5.5 points.
In the 7th round games held Thursday, Zia beat Shakil, Emon beat Jaiswal Rupesh of Nepal, Debaraj beat Thing Bibek of Nepal, Parag beat Mokaddesur Rahman Khan Sohan, and Himal beat Shafiq Ahmed.
